This is a beginner's throwing course for those who are eager to try the potter's wheel for the first time or have some experience but would like to acquire a stronger foundation.
While receiving constructed demonstrations and close assistance, you will be guided through the first steps of throwing. You will learn to prepare the clay for work, center it, make cone and bowl shapes, and trim and decorate your pieces. In each 3 hours class, we will touch upon the basics of ceramic theory, while most of the time will be devoted to practice and individual work on the wheel.
The classes will be held once a week for 5 weeks, in an intimate, cozy environment of 4 students.

Bring clothes that you don't mind getting dirty !
Pieces made during the course are usually ready to be picked-up 2 to 3 weeks after they're made. You will find the status of your pieces on the page Collect your creations.
